Got Pain? This Essential Oil Blend has Your Back!

Have you ever got into a physical project and gave it your all?  However, the next day your body told you it was too much.  Feeling the aches and pains in your muscles and joints?

Recently, I got into my garden and went to work – pulling those weeds, cutting down bushes and more.  It felt great to clean and went fairly easy with our recent rain and softer ground.

However, the next day, I could hardly get out of bed.  Have you ever experienced a similar situation?  Muscles are tight, inflamed and sore.  The joints and back are stiff.

When joints and muscles are sore, there is inflammation involved.  Cool down the flame with your essential oils.  There are many oils that can help.

Lemongrass is great for healing ligaments and tendons.

Tree oils like spruce, fir or pine give strength and feeling of confidence.

Lavender oil is calming and soothing to muscles.

Peppermint oil contains menthol which is cooling to areas of inflammation.

Here is a recipe using the above-mentioned oils.

Blend for Cooling Muscles

1 oz (30 ml) Carrier Oil such as Carrier or Jojoba Oil

4 drops Lemongrass

4 drops Spruce

4 drops Lavender

Place the oils in 30 ml of a carrier oil such as olive oil.  You mix then in a glass jar, dip your fingers and rub over areas of discomfort.

You may wish to cut the recipe down and make a roll on for trigger point areas.

This blend of essential oils can be helpful to cool the flame and calm the irritation. Apply over area of concern 2-3 times per day.
