Stress Buster with this Essential Oil Bath Salt

What are your stress symptoms – sore, achy muscles, headache, inability to focus or anxiety?  Most of us can relate to one or more of these symptoms with stress!  So, what can you do for quick relief, naturally?

Plants have played an important role throughout our health history.  They were one of our first remedies to treat and prevent conditions related to stress such as muscle pain, headaches and anxiety to name a few.  Often, we turn to medications or remedies that may have harmful side effects.  You can do something more natural with your essential oils by creating a bath salt that can bust away your stress soothing muscles and giving relaxation.

Begin with a 2 oz glass jar or container.  You can purchase these or reuse something like a baby food jar.

Next, use your base salt such as Himalayan Salt, Sea Salt or Epsom Salt.  I have Sea Salt and good quality salts can be found in groceries or health food stores.  Fill the jar with your salt.

Now, select those essential oils for your comfort.  I am going to use 2 drops of Frankincense.  Frankincense is emotionally uplifting and immune stimulating.  Consider Lemon essential oil as another option.

Next, add two drops of Copaiba essential oil.  Copaiba oil is excellent to reduce muscle inflammation and soothe aches and discomfort.   Very gentle on the skin too.

Lastly, add 2 drops of Lavender oil to calm the muscles and nerves giving a sense of peace and balance.

Now, stir all oils into the salt with a glass rod or the end of a metal spoon.  Add ½ of this jar contents or the entire amount to the running water of your bath.  The amount you add will depend on your preference and need for stress busting!   Also, you will be inhaling the oils which will give further relaxation.

These bath salts make wonderful gifts.  You can add organic food coloring for a holiday theme or use the pink Himalayan salt.  Add ribbon or other decoration as you wish.
