How to Get Your Content Read

Do customers respond to your copy?

You spend hours writing copy for your business but is anyone actually reading it? Look at your responses and site analytics.

Do people act on what they read?

If so, congratulations! Keep writing more of the same type of content. If not, there are some simple things you can do to improve readership and have more potential customers hit that “Buy” button!

Now as an experienced copywriter, I have to promote hiring a professional. This way, you can focus on your core, business responsibilities while someone else does your writing. Yes, it costs money, but the results are well worth it, and you’ll save a lot of time, hassle and resources.

However, if you don’t have a budget to hire a copywriter, you can make your own content updates with these simple tips….

Give customers what they want.

If you’re going to take the time and effort to produce content, it’s important to focus on what your customers want and provide solutions to their problems.

Conduct research and figure out how you can provide your target market with valuable and unique information that’s specific to them.

Share a story.

People love to hear to a good story. Think about things that have happened to you (and others in your life) that changed you in some way. Then, share it through storytelling.

This allows customers to see a personal side to your business. But best of all, you provide unique information that your competitors can’t touch.

Edit.

When you finish writing, check for mistakes. Review spelling, grammar, links, quotes, tone, style, and more. Even better, have an outside source read it to make sure you aren’t missing anything and convey the right message.

This is important to make the best first-impression possible.

After all, if you publish content with errors, will potential customers think you will “miss” important details when they work with you?

Review and repeat.

Once your new content goes live, check the results.

What can you do to make your copy better?

Is the topic resonating with your audience?

Did they click on the call-to-action and share it with friends?

With today’s technology, you can constantly edit and test your content to get the best response. This is extra work, but with the right copywriting, you can significantly boost sales and build your customer base fast.

Write right!

Content is a valuable resource for your business that can catapult sales fast. However, if done incorrectly, it can also burn through your resources and turn customers away!

To get the most out of all of your content, hire an experienced copywriter. If this is impossible right now, simply think about what your customers want and provide them with a valuable and unique story (free of mistakes) that they will find interesting and want to share with others. Then, review responses and make the appropriate edits to improve your overall results.

Now, are you ready to boost sales with great content?
