Biggest Influence of Your Image

So how are you doing with your list of goals for 2018?  Have you written them down? Did you identify one that seems to repeat itself? Are you ready to take the next step to building your image confidence?  I hope that you decide to invest in yourself this year!

I want to take a journey with you this year, a deliberate journey!  One, where with the goal of investing in yourself you will gain confidence and see lots of personal growth this year! This might mean investing time, resources or both.  Either way, you deserve the investment! But if you’re like most people, always putting others and everything else before yourself, then you need it!  Even if you are confident now, you need to be filling your own cup.

When you are building your confidence, that’s when you are growing.  Just like when you are on an airplane and the flight attendant tells you to take care of your own oxygen mask first, you need to refill your own cup before you can fill someone else’s.  Maybe that someone is a son, daughter, sibling, mother or friend.  But you can be sure, that someone is watching and being inspired by you!

Building our confidence certainly is affected by our wardrobe, after all, where the body goes, the mind follows.  However, the biggest influence of our image is your confidence level.  How many times have you accomplished something and made negative comments to yourself, being critical of how it was accomplished or what part wasn’t what you thought it should be?

Often, we say things to ourselves we would never say to someone else! Don’t you find that we are often our own worst critic!?  That negative self-talk is so damaging and must stop!  I want you to be deliberate this year to eliminate it, to hush your inner critic.  Every time you begin to think or say something negative to yourself, I want you to stop and say out loud, “cancel, cancel, cancel!”  as you simultaneously make a motion like you’re taking that thought or those words and throwing them away.  Then quickly replace it with something positive.

You are wonderfully made from the inside out! Focus on your gifts. God didn’t have time to make junk!  By hushing your inner critic and replacing negative thoughts with positive ones and statements, you will quickly begin to boost your confidence!! Be deliberately positive with all your thoughts! Try it for the next 30 days and let me know your results, I would love to hear!
