Iman Aghay Received a 2nd Chance & Now Desires to Help Millions Soar to Success

As Iman Aghay was lying in a hospital bed suffering from inoperable internal bleeding and receiving blood transfusions that would hopefully save his life, he realized,

“I had never lived true to my heart, or passion. I had never lived true to what I wanted to do. That night, I decided if I survived, I would follow a new path, make an impact in people’s lives and do what I wanted to do.”

Aghay had immigrated to Canada and had developed a successful web design business but was not really happy. This near-death experience made him reassess and follow his heart to live a life that would help others and allow him to better enjoy his own life.

“I got lucky, my bleeding stopped on its own. I had received five bags of blood. Ten days later, the night before my 27th birthday, I was released from the hospital. I felt like that was the best birthday gift I had ever been given, to get a chance for a second chance at life.”

True to his word, he quickly dropped his web design and SEO company and began making a difference in people’s lives. Wanting to reach the largest number of people possible, he decided that the best way to reach large audiences and have the most affect, would be to concentrate on coaches, authors, speakers and program leaders. People who could have the greatest impact.

“I wanted to impact 100 million people, but I couldn’t do that alone. If I could help 10,000 influencers and they helped 10,000 more, together we could reach 100 million people.”

He began this task by creating his first online course, “Ultimate Course Formula” to teach his target market to create and market online courses. He is currently well on his way, helping over 3,000 clients create their own courses and is known as the expert in establishing online training programs.

His book, “Ultimate Course Formula,” along with the online training course of the same name, has been one of the top entrepreneurial books for the past several years.

Aghay realized early that knowledge is power. Online training courses can certainly improve one’s overall understanding, but knowledge alone will not make an individual successful. Training programs must also provide support and accountability.

“To make a lasting impact in a person’s life, you need to provide support, as well as accountability. Our training courses offer support every step of the way to achieve their goals and become successful.” 

According to Iman, if you’re a person who can take other people’s hand and help them to actually get results, you can create a course that he calls Qualified Courses. Qualified Courses are courses between $500 to $2,000. They are between six to eight weeks generally, and they help people within those six to eight weeks to get a certain type of result. If the student wants to go further, the next step is to offer a more extensive course; Iman calls those Committed Courses, which are courses that are for committed people. They generally cost a minimum of $2,000 but can range from $5,000 to $15,000. They are typically year-long programs, because it takes a year to get a lasting result and change behaviors and habits.

“Many people fail in qualified courses because they do have the correct motivation and support to help propel them through the difficult times to make it to the next level.”

The Eight Step Course Creation Process

Aghay created an eight-step program to help people create successful courses. In fact, he offers a free 90-minute webinar that explains the eight-step process. “Initially, teaching a course with a live audience is preferred. The students can learn from each other via their experiences. It is best to use a live audience and elicit their feedback at the end of the session so you can improve the course.”

The purpose in step one is to make sure that the proposed course has a specific topic for the target market. For example, according to Iman, you don’t want to teach a course on health, you want to teach a course on a specific subject in the heath arena, like back pain. A generic course on health can be just a YouTube video. But a course on a specific type of back pain that teaches how to strengthen certain types of muscles and decrease their inflammation to obtain the desired result. That is a course that teaches results.

In step two, find eight to 20 people within your target market, and ask them “Iman’s Eight Golden Questions.” These are very particular questions, that you can learn about in the 90-minute training mentioned earlier. From the answers you receive to these eight questions, you’ll know exactly what it is that people want, and based on that you create something called a course-one-pager, which includes the structure of the course.

Next you go back to these eight to 20 people, and use this script provided by Iman:

“Hey, based on the conversation that we had, I created this course. Is it aligned with what you want?” And they look at it they say, “Yes, that’s totally aligned.” You say, “Would you like to be one of my first students? I’m about to start teaching it live on this date, every week, for one hour. Would you like to be one of the people who go through this course? There is a discount for being the first set of students.”

As you are teaching the course, you ask for feedback from your students. That’s why they get a discount – in exchange for their feedback.
