Curiosity is the Key

Life can hand us uncomfortable situations. However, when life hands us lemons; we can choose to make lemonade! I have a suggestion for you.

My suggestion for you today is “Get Curious about life”, about uncomfortable situations in life. Pema Chodron, the well-known Buddhist nun said, “A much more interesting, kind and joyful approach to life is to develop our curiosity, nor caring whether the object of our curiosity is bitter or sweet. To lead a life that goes beyond pettiness and prejudice and always wanting to make sure that everything turns out on our own terms, to lead a more passionate, full and delightful life than that, we must realize that we can endure a lot of pain and pleasure for the sake of finding out who we are and what this world is…..”

Instead of worrying “What if this? or What if that” happens, become curious and say to yourself, “What can I learn from this situation?” or “How might what I am going through help others?” or “What’s here for me to explore?” You have the choice to pause and listen to your heart’s responses and suggestions.

Resist the habit of falling into the same old mental and emotional reactions that lower your spirit draining the energy needed to create and operate effectively.
Curiosity the Key to renewing, resilient, balanced actions and responses to whatever the day might bring.
