6 Effective Places to Share Your Content

You just created a spectacular piece of content; one you feel needs to be shared with the world. You know you can blast it out on your social media channels, share it on your blog, and even send it to your list, but surely, there are other places you can share this piece of article gold?

Well there are. Here are some effective, but not always apparent, places to share your content and gain more visibility and traction.

Partner Up: Reach out to your connections, friends, and partners to see if they would be willing to include your useful content in their newsletters or email blasts. Newsletter space is valuable real estate, but many newsletter creators also like the thought of fresh and new info to keep their readership interested and engaged. Offer to do a trade; they share a mention of your newly created content in their next mailing and you will gladly return the favor with a mailing to your own list.

Look for a Reach Bigger than Yours: Somewhere out in our huge virtual world is someone with a ginormous readership and reach; remarkably larger than yours. By asking if your content could be a guest blog post on their powerhouse site, you’re not only reaching more eyeballs than before, but also reaching readers who might be new to your business and services.

Don’t Forget the Groups: By sharing your information via online groups and forums, you’re sharing to new people in a unique and effective way. Business and industry groups on sites like LinkedIn and Facebook are open to allowing members to share their knowledge and expertise. A word of caution; be mindful to share your information/article in such a way that it doesn’t look like a shameless plug. Ask for opinions or real-life experiences on your topic to get the conversation flowing.

Publish on LinkedIn: LinkedIn Publisher allows LI users to post their content (even if they’ve already posted it on their own site) within the site without the Google ding for duplicate content. This post also has more “oomph” because LinkedIn is known for reaching fellow business professionals, including decision makers. Even better, anyone on LinkedIn can see your articles. They aren’t restricted to your contacts.

Make it an Opt-in or Bonus Tip: Pair your new-found content gold with an already existing eBook, course or download and use it as a way to treat those who have bought your products with a free and exclusive tip.

Make it Pinnable: Add value and shareability to your content by creating a sharp, vibrant, and informative image about your content. The key is to create an image that reflects your information, but is also eye-catching and interest-piquing. Once shared on social media giant Pinterest (and other social media platforms) other Pinners will give your information new traction by re-Pinning it, thus getting it in front of others who would appreciate and use the information as well. Tools like Canva or Picmonkey are great ways to create these images in just minutes.

Use these ideas to share your content with the world.
