Successful Entrepreneurs Accept That They Aren’t Perfect

Perfectionism is a trait of people who are not mindful of how they are living their lives and conducting their business. They go about seeking perfection in themselves and others, setting standards that are almost impossible to achieve and never allowing themselves to make mistakes. It’s a recipe for burn out, failed relationships, stagnated creativity and business disaster.

The enlightened entrepreneur welcomes mistakes and encourages creativity. They know that any perceived failures are leading them to success. If you study many of the famous entrepreneurs of our time, you’ll notice a common thread – they all suffered BIG failures before they hit up the success they are known for.
If you notice that you have perfectionistic tendencies, give yourself permission to be human, cut yourself and others some slack, accept mistakes and yes, even allow someone else to be right!

In this month’s feature article, we profile Jennifer Yaros, the author of “Conditioning Your Mind to Fuel Creativity” and leader of BrainSpark. Be sure to read our article to find out how you can be more creative in your company…even if it means taking a risk or making a mistake.

Last month we added two new columns that were a big hit with our readers. The first is a quick book recommendation column (if you have a book that you’d like to have us review, please let me know) and the second is a new feature column called Reinvention Uncensored, where I interview someone who has made a transformation of some type. The interview is also available as part of the Soar to Success podcast. I hope you enjoy these features again this month.

Wishing you the best that life has to offer – go out and be creative this month!
