Relax - Calm Your Chaos Quickly

It is a known fact that prolonged stress and chaos can lead to chronic illness and other health challenges. Supportive therapies like relaxation techniques can aid in healthy body and mind balance. Research and case studies have demonstrated that relaxation tools are important in healing and prevention of health related concerns or conditions.

You have heard and maybe tried many relaxation tools such as massage, walking, and meditation. These are great tools but take time to schedule and complete. So, what do you do when the stress is hitting you NOW and you’re feeling the chaos, Now?!

One category of supportive therapies include Relaxation Techniques. There are many relaxation tools that can be used quickly, such as breath work, visualization, energy therapy and more. There are also many resources like written materials, audio apps, and videos explaining and guiding the use of these modalities for our self-care. Often, we are not sure how to use or access these tools quickly to calm ourselves when we are experiencing unexpected stress right now!!

So, when you are feeling that stress sensation creeping into your body, STOP.  Take a moment to breathe. Breathe in a positive word such as peace, calm, or joy.  Intentionally, keep your in breath with your positive word. Next, place your hands over your heart center as you continue to breathe in your positive word. Fill your breath and word with a color that enters inside and relaxes your heart and soul. Repeat this process for at least a minute. Feel your breathing slow down as you continue to fill yourself with positivity and peace.

You can do this for yourself or to help another in 5 minutes or less bringing balance and joy over your chaos.
