Signature Perfume

Perfume.

Many of us use an aroma that speaks to us and makes us feel good.  However, most of those perfumes and fragrances are not natural and can be very unhealthy.

Women have been using perfumes and fragrances since the beginning of time.  The problem is that most of these fragrances are synthetic and can be very harmful.  The aroma may be pleasant to you but often is offensive to others.  We are bombarded with aromas to draw our attention.  It can be very overwhelming and there are more people who report chemical sensitivities.

In addition, breathing in this synthetic can be harmful to the brain and lungs.  Wearing synthetic on the skin may cause irritation and lead to liver congestion.

So, what can you do to wear an aroma unique to you but still be healthy for your mind and body?

Well, look to your genuine essential oils.  Creating your signature blend/perfume can be very easy and have profound effects!   This is what you will need:

½ oz or 15 ml of organic jojoba oil – this is easy to find in health food stores; 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) of distilled water; Essential Oils 8-12 drops; 2.5 oz (75 ml) alcohol such as vodka or witch hazel.  Optional – organic vanilla 1-2 drops as sweetener.

In a glass roller bottle, in this order add essential oils, jojoba oil, alcohol or witch hazel and vanilla.  Add distilled water at the end.  Gently shake.  It is ideal to let it sit for 48 hours before use.

I have included 3 recipes below for the Light or Quiet Personality, the Classic Personality and the Spicy or Sultry Personality:
