How do you breakthrough and show the world the expert that you are?

I believe that creating valuable content is an important component in building a reputation as an industry expert or authority. Video is my preferred content vehicle; shocker, right? But it’s not just mine, research shows that most people, when considering hiring someone, prefer consuming content from them via video because it’s more believable and builds the know, like, trust factor.

It’s also important to have your video content available on the various types of media, which are known as owned, submitted and endorsed.

Owned means you place your videos on your website or send them out in your emails.

Submitted means that you upload your videos to places like YouTube or Vimeo and your pages on social media sites.

Endorsed means you must be chosen to have your videos included on websites such as Forbes, Entrepreneur, or our Elite Experts Video Network.

Social proof, which builds your credibility quickly as an expert, comes from having your content shown regularly on endorsed media platforms; content shared on owned and submitted media does not carry as much credibility in the eyes of the viewer because they know you weren’t vetted in those places.

This is a long play, but you can speed up the process by regularly creating content that’s shared on endorsed media websites and supporting that with social media ads, on Facebook, Linked IN, Instagram…wherever your target audience hangs out. Let me know if you’d like a complimentary strategy session to talk about your situation.

Wishing you a great month ahead. Enjoy the articles in this issue and be sure to take advantage of the links for further information.
