Masterminds

Have you ever heard the phrase “together we are stronger?”  Motivational Speaker and Self-Development Author, Brian Tracy said, “no one lives long enough to learn everything they need to learn, starting from scratch.  To be successful, we absolutely, positively have to find people who have already paid the price to learn the things that we need to learn to achieve our goals.”

Imagine sitting at a table with 6 really engaged people who trust and value you and your opinion and are willing to invest in you!   Let me tell you about the Arbor Mastermind and its members.  Seated at the table are a pawnbroker, a health coach, a restaurant franchise, a student in accounting, and a real estate investor.  Each come to the table sharing both challenges and accomplishments from their busy life of entrepreneurship.   Wednesday at 5:30pm, they will move mountains to come to take their seat in the circle.  They have goals, and count on the help of their fellow team members to hold them accountable and focus them on solutions.

Business owners are the heartbeat of the company.  If you are growing then your company is growing.  If there is a block in your company, it is usually you!  Hard to hear, but sometimes we need to hear this to grow.  Owners hunger for a safe place to discuss their struggles and they count on the safe environment of the mastermind to listen.

Vibrant groups are normally facilitated by a professional who is an expert in business and facilitation.  These facilitators help assure each member has a time in the “hot seat” as well as pose questions to keep the discussion moving.  Meetings occur on a periodic basis (weekly, biweekly, or monthly) lasting approximately two hours.

Personal development legend, Jim Rohn said, “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.”  Members brainstorm to solve immediate problems, share best practices, wisdom and personal experiences to shorten the learning curve.  Members can be individuals from different business industries or the same industry.    If the group is held in one locality members normally are from different business types.   If they are held through virtual means, they can include the same type of business.

Masterminds can also expand to include professional cohorts.  These groups are not “support groups”.  Members of the groups apply to become members of the group and are selected by level of commitment and how well they or their business fit into the group.  Costs for inclusion vary by caliber of the group and facilitator.

My question for you, who do you have in your inner circle?  Masterminds provide that circle….reach out today and find the one made just for you!
