Someone implies it can’t be done because they believe it won’t work, suddenly our motivation disappears when it’s time to take action, or our (unrealistic) expectations of immediate results don’t materialize. Then what happens? Most people STOP right in their tracks and turn their attention to something else. I call this coming face to face with the brick wall. It’s the point of choice. We can recognize this moment by our behaviors and emotions. For example, if we can’t bring ourselves to take actions that we intellectually know will move us forward, we can look within ourselves to identify, first, the emotion we are feeling, such as frustration, disappointment, insecurity, or others, and second, the belief behind it. For most people it’s some type of fear… fear of failure, rejection or even success. Once you begin to see the nature of your fear, it will lose its hold on you and you can activate your power of choice, to move through the fear and into action. That sounds so simple, right? It’s not always simple but at least with selfawareness, we can begin to push through our fears and soar to success. Wishing you a great month ahead.
