Are You Feeling Empathy Fatigue? By Pat Bennett The culmination of the 24-hour news cycle filled with the global pandemic, politics, human tragedies, food and product shortages, natural disasters and a teetering economy has some of us experiencing empathy fatigue. At its worst, empathy fatigue is the inability of a person to care and becoming numb to horrific events. It’s the negative consequence of repeated exposure to stressful or traumatic events and can be manifested both emotionally and/or physically.
