I was recently reminded how very important laughter is when learning something new or under a lot of stress. It really can be the best medicine! One of my favorite things to do now is ride my horse on wooded trails with my friends. But, when I bought my first horse, and started riding as an adult I found out I had a LOT to learn. His name is Charger and I was so excited! My first experience with a riding instructor left me in tears thinking I had made a huge mistake. Determined to keep him, I signed up for lessons with a different instructor. Given my previous experience, I was really nervous, but willing to try again. As it turns out, this instructor was different…special. What made her different? Why did I absorb more from her than the previous instructor? Because she was funnier than all get out!
