PAT ALTVATER Is Your Culture Apparent To Your Clients? Elite Experts Network AFP Marketing PatAltvater.com On a recent road trip, my husband, Fred and I stopped at a Starbucks in Fairlawn, OH to use the restroom and grab some coffee. As soon as we walked in, I noticed something was different. Each of the barista’s greeted us with a smile and friendly hello. It reminded me of walking into a Waffle House in the south. Yes, I’ll admit about once every five years, I need a Waffle House fix. While we were waiting, in the empty seating area because of Covid rules which at the time prohibited indoor dining, I noticed a large chalk board on the wall. It was labeled Positivity Board and had quotes to remind us of the benefits of positivity. It struck me as consistent with the baristas’ behavior we noticed while we were there. I enjoyed reading the quotes and couldn’t resist taking the picture that is shown here. We left that Starbuck’s impressed by the entire experience. That particular Starbucks made it clear that they valued positivity. How do you demonstrate your beliefs and values through your culture? How do your prospects and clients know what your values and beliefs are? I challenge you to think about the state of being you want each and every one of the people that interact with you to notice.
