I Get It. is a must read for busy professionals. I love its short chapters with actionable tips so it’s not necessary to read everything all at once before starting to implement the helpful ideas. Her chapters include relatable content because Joan truly understands busy professionals and offers ideas that are easily implemented. A favorite chapter of mine is the one called, “Squirrel!” Many entrepreneurs fall into the trap of chasing after shiny objects instead of taking focused action towards goals that were previously set. Joan’s quick tip helps us avoid being distracted by those shiny objects. This is one of those books you can pick up and just start reading wherever the book falls open or you can scan the table of contents to find a chapter that speaks to you at the moment. Another alternative is to read one of the short chapters, that can be consumed in five minutes or less, every day. If you started at the first of the month, you could finish the book in 30 days and have completely transformed your life within that one month.
