W ith the recent outbreak of the COVID 19 virus, businesses have had to make critical decisionswith only days’ notice. Making these decisions are not easy. Companies with a solid foundation and stated core values looked to the pillars that are holding their company strong to weather this storm. Core values define your culture – who you are and what you stand for. They define and drive who“therightpeople” are foryourorganization. These values will assist with hiring slow and firing fast. As a Solution Strategist, the first question I ask a client is what their core values are. If they must refer to a document filed away and cannot state them without a hesitation, Are Your Pillars Strong Enough to Weather This Storm? Placing words on a poster in the lobby or on your web site does not constitute having core values if they are not being followed by all. The other valuable tool using your core values is conducting reviews. As an EOS Implementor, we drive reviews using your core values and threequestions.
