Another data breach, another healthcare organization with millions of exposed patient files, another city government shut down because of a ransomware attack. The business world is under attack and on the edge of serious trouble. Can itbefixed?Absolutely. It takes commitment and training. This month’s article is a step in a different direction. It’s time for business owners, accounting firms, law offices, local and state governments, and healthcare organizations to wake up and smell the cybersecurity coffee. Cybercriminals are brewing up a storm, and we must make sure that our defenses are in place to protect your business, andmost importantly, the livelihood of everyone you employ and their families. Let that sink in. A data breach or cybersecurity event doesn’t just hit your business. It hits your employees, their families, their communities... it goes deeper than just a ransomware attack. The trickle-down effect can extend very deep into all of our communities.
