How often have you thought – what do I do? How can I help? Sometimes it is the smallest of gestures that can bring great comfort for another. Let’s look at ways that you can be a Healing Presence. We all have or will experience a situation where we might be a comfort for another going through an emotional trauma, loss or uncomfortable experience. When that event unfolds, we often feel helpless and at a loss for words. There are some simple things you can do to keep calm in the storm of stress. First, be genuine. Keep your voice low and calm. You may not need to say anything. Providing a gentle touch on the person’s arm or shoulder can be reassuring that another cares.
